Architectural Renovation and Expansion of a 1970s Family house in Cala Morell, Menorca

This architectural renovation and expansion of a 1970s family residence on the cliffs of Cala Morell, Ciutadella, Menorca, redefines coastal living by merging contemporary Mediterranean design with sustainable architecture principles. The intervention dissolves the boundaries between indoor and outdoor environments, creating semi-open living spaces that embrace Mediterranean summer and provide a continuous dialogue with the natural landscape.

Drawing from the traditional architecture of Menorca, the design incorporates locally sourced materials and finishes that integrate the structure seamlessly into its environment, prioritizing natural aesthetics and environmental harmony. The use of native vegetation and timeless materials enhances the residence's connection to the island’s coastal identity while ensuring sustainable expansion. This project exemplifies an eco-conscious architectural approach that respects Menorca’s unique landscape and embodies the essence of modern Mediterranean comfort.
