URBAN PROPOSAL FOR THE CITY- PORT INTERFACE

The Barcelona City-Port interface is under continue transformation. The limit between the urban port and the industrial logistic area is under movement and is being continually displaced south, opposite to urban positions, in search for areas where to minimize conflict between urban and port activities. At the same time, physically constrained the city of Barcelona is in search for space to provide houses to new comers.
This proposal link port and urban interest through the creation of a continue slab that facilities logistic activities under while permits urban activities above, provide space to enlarge today’s straitjacketed transport infrastructures and solve the link between the city and the bigger park in town, Montjuïc.

SALOU DIAGNOSIS AND PROPOSALS
THE AV.CARLES BUIGAS: STRATEGIES OF URBAN REGENERATION
SECOND DOCUMENT: DIAGNOSIS AND PROPOSALS

A diagnosis of the causes of urban decay around Carles Buigas Avenue in Salou drives a set of proposals for action.
In this document, we collected the interests and concerns of the main stakeholders in the area, from neighbours, to shop owners to hotel managers and public servants, under a multidisciplinary perspective with the aim of having a comprehensive view of the complexity of this part of the city.
Hereafter, proposals were made containing areas of interest to be developed as catalyzers of the change necessary to reverse the existing urban dynamics. Consequently, the initial working strategy, with the aim of integrating the maximum number of urban scales, proposals went from short festivals to the reurbanization of the area. At the same time it offered politicians the opportunity to, according to their financial capacity, availability, expected impact or sustainability criteria, choose the set of tools that better fitted their policies.
