URBAN PROPOSAL FOR THE CITY- PORT INTERFACE
The Barcelona City-Port interface is under continue transformation. The limit between the urban port and the industrial logistic area is under movement and is being continually displaced south, opposite to urban positions, in search for areas where to minimize conflict between urban and port activities. At the same time, physically constrained the city of Barcelona is in search for space to provide houses to new comers.
This proposal link port and urban interest through the creation of a continue slab that facilities logistic activities under while permits urban activities above, provide space to enlarge today’s straitjacketed transport infrastructures and solve the link between the city and the bigger park in town, Montjuïc.

CÀTEDRA JORGE MONTES:TRASCEND, MÀS ALLÀ DEL TIEMPO
In August 2023 LoCa Studio was invited to participate on the Cátedra Jorge Montes, an international venue organized by the architecture students at the Universidad del Istmo de Guatemala in its 15th edition.
For one week Daniel Lorenzo and Carlota Casanova commanded a workshop with architecture and design students with the title: TRASCEND. PONER EN VALOR PARA TRASCENDER. An explorative work on the collective imaginary of the City of Guatemala, its cultural and architecture heritage.
From the architecture perspective there is the attempt to make the build legacy to transcend beyond time and knowledge frontiers. Further from the local, academic and professional boundaries, collectively, we have work to communicate the architecture legacy of representative works at the City of Guatemala with the aim of collaborating in the construction of a new urban imaginary.
